Under the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework we observe and assess children all the time.  The County requirement is that we do a Summative Assessment at 26, 36 and 50 months and at the time of leaving us to go to school.

Rather than doing a parents evening we feel that it is more beneficial to invite you in when these Summative Assessments have been carried out by your child’s Key Person.  Your Key Person will advise you via the home contact book when it will be a suitable time.  You will have the opportunity to see your child’s Learning Journey, discuss the assessments, observations and next steps for your child.

Don’t forget, if you need to speak to your child’s Key Person about any issues before these appointment times, please come in to speak to us.
